Misleds is a rhythmic, funky rockband from Jyväskylä, Finland. The band’s signature sound is a relaxed, yet tight groove, which is so irresistible you’ll be dancing and jamming along before you know it.
The band is fronted by singer Ms. Led, whose self-ironic lyrics are often based in her own adventures in life. On top of this she is also a captivating and charismatic performer.
The rhythm section is formed by bassist Jimmy Rey and drummer Don Komone. They are in charge of producing the base of the band’s characteristic sound: laid-back, yet tight as fork. Guitarrist Mark Q does not pale in comparison, instead his tasteful work on the guitar finalizes the band’s playful and multidimensional musical message.
Misleds’ music is all about good times and funky grooves, although glimpses of life’s underbelly can also be found in their songs. This band would survive the swamps of Siberia and on top of that it is excellent company on a night out.
There is really nothing mystical about the band’s history. Bassist Jimmy Rey started his funk band in 2003 and when singer Ms. Led joined the ranks a year later, the basic line-up of the band was ready. After some changes in the overall line-up, the band has settled on being an energetic quartet.
